Client: New Energy Transport Pty Ltd (Sydney, electric vehicle transport)
Engagement: Fully managed IT services, unlimited support, 24/7 endpoint & Microsoft 365 monitoring, managed endpoint protection, licensing
Outcome: A fast-growing EV transport business now runs on a properly licensed, actively monitored Microsoft 365 environment with an IT partner who scales with the team and watches the environment around the clock.
The starting point
New Energy Transport is a Sydney-based business operating in the electric vehicle transport space. The team is small, the pace is fast, and the data sitting inside Microsoft 365 is increasingly commercial-in-confidence, customer contracts, fleet plans, financials, and conversations about a growing portfolio of trucks and routes.
When the engagement started, the environment had the kind of issues most fast-moving startups carry quietly: licensing scattered across credit-card subscriptions, inconsistencies in how users were set up, and security relying on out-of-the-box defaults. Nothing was on fire, but the foundation needed to be set properly before the business outgrew it.
What we did first
Two pieces of foundational work made everything else easier.
Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) transfer. Microsoft 365 licensing was moved to Static Computers as Cloud Solution Provider. That gives the business one place to manage licences, flexible monthly billing, and a real escalation path through to Microsoft when something needs raising.
Business Premium uplift. Users were lifted to Microsoft 365 Business Premium so the environment has the right licensing entitlements behind it. Business Premium gives the team access to the modern Microsoft 365 productivity stack and the security capabilities a business at this stage actually needs, all within a single SKU.
With those two pieces in place, Static moved on to tightening the configuration where it mattered most and bringing the environment up to a sensible posture for a business handling sensitive operational data.
Fully managed, actively monitored
New Energy Transport is a fully managed services client. The day-to-day relationship is built around three commitments.
Unlimited IT support. The team can pick up the phone, raise a ticket or message Static whenever they need to. There’s no per-incident meter running in the background, no internal debate about whether something is “worth” a support call. That alone changes how a team works, questions get asked early, small issues get fixed before they grow, and the business owner doesn’t have to triage IT decisions themselves.
24/7 endpoint and Microsoft 365 monitoring. Endpoint protection is deployed and actively watched by a service desk that operates around the clock. Threats, anomalous activity and out-of-hours alerts are picked up and actioned without waiting for someone at New Energy Transport to notice and report. The Microsoft 365 tenant sits inside the same monitored umbrella, sign-ins, account activity and tenant-level events are kept under watch as well.
Proactive Microsoft 365 administration. Mailboxes, licences, distribution lists, MFA, account onboarding and offboarding, identity hygiene and tenant-level configuration are all managed by Static. The environment is kept hardened, current and tuned to how the business actually works, with security reviewed and adjusted as the team grows.
Why this works for a fast-growing startup
A growing business doesn’t need to build its own IT team to get enterprise-grade tools. It needs a partner who packages those tools, unlimited support, 24/7 endpoint and tenant monitoring, managed endpoint protection, licensing and active Microsoft 365 administration, into a single, predictable monthly arrangement and runs the whole thing on the business’s behalf. That’s what the New Energy Transport engagement does, and it scales as the team adds seats rather than being torn up and replaced.
“The IT support provided by Static Computers has been incredibly valuable to our business. Steven is very responsive and dedicated to solving our IT problems. We’re very happy with the service.”
